Graduate Questionnaire

Laboratory of Wireless Technologies & EMS Research

Shunichi Futatsumori
graduated from the Laboratory of Wireless Technologies & EMS Research in the 2009 academic year

I think all I experienced in research and personal club activities are helpful in my current job and life.

Q1What did you learn in the laboratory? What do you think is helpful for your current job?

I had various experiences for around six years when I was in the laboratory. Concerning research activities, I learned the bases of numerical analysis theories and detailed experimental measurements, and also experienced the presentations of my papers at the domestic and international academic conferences and participations to international standardization conferences, and collaborative researchs with companies and organizations. Through these activities, I visited more than 10 countries and had good opportunities to discuss with international students. All of these help me doing my current job.

Q2Why did you choose this division and this laboratory?

I had been interested in the wireless communication field, and found that students can learn extensively about basic research as well as applied technologies used for commercialized products, both in terms of hardware and software, in this division and laboratory. The education system, including the teaching staff in the laboratory, is also great, and allows students to dedicate themselves to research within a secure framework. The students in the laboratory were close to each other and there was a good atmosphere. That was also attractive.

Q3Your future goal and a message for your juniors

It hasn’t been long since I graduated, but I fondly remember those days in university. As I mentioned before, I think all I experienced in research and personal club activities are helpful in my current job and life. I hope people who plan to enter this school will try everything without hesitation and have a meaningful time.
