Interview in a local newspaper
Suddenly
I have become a robotic vacuum-cleaner researcher :)
Our biggest local newspaper, Hokkaido Shinbun, asked me to talk about AI for the "Daily Life" corner. They liked our Twimba project best so I have explained how a simple robot connected to the Internet can know what to do and when, including ethically problematic situations. The editors liked so much that they gave me a half of color page :) Although I was told that only elderly read the paper, I got quite a few emails, FB messages and even a letterfrom my retired friend who lives in Otaru. Many told me "finally I know what you do" so I guess I now have a nice material for introducing myself to a broader audience!
