Conferences 2019

This year started with ANLP 2019 in Nagoya, then JSAI 2019 in Niigata. After national conferences together with my team we went for IJCAI 2019 at Macao. Protests and strikes inHong Kong and typhoon over Taiwan caused cancelations of all our tickets. But luckily all six of us made it for their presentations. Also my travel to AGI 2019 just before IJCAI wasn't straightforward, airport staff at Seoul airport didn't believe there is something like "Visa on Arrival" in China (AGI was at Shenzhen). I was also gave an invited talk at Humanizing AI workshop, trying to be entertaining... Maybe a bit too much. My students and co-researchers were accepted for conferences in Germany, France, Vietnam and Taiwan, but I think I had enough this year! Sorry guys, you are on your own.

Japanese Society for Artificial Intelligence follows the global trend and grows rapidly.

The ratio of business-related participants was suprisingly high!

Artificial General Intelligence conference was held in Shenzhen, and the next one might take place at Saint Petersburg!

IJCAI talks as always interesting, even if you lay down :) Vennetian was a splendid venue!

Unfortunately I don't have any good resolution picture from my invited talk... Anyone?
