The Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Course and the Division of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics receive employment offers from many companies including worldwide enterprises every year, and society has high expectations of the graduates as the next generation of leaders.
After graduation, most students join companies involved in electric appliances, communication precision equipment, software, heavy industries, automobiles, chemical industry and medical care. Many graduates also work as front-line researchers at universities and national/public institutions. Jobs offered to students also include transportation, electric power, pharmaceutical manufacturers and various other types of business.
With the advances in research fields such as bioinformatics and regenerative medical engineering, it is expected that more graduates will work in bio industries and companies related to drug discovery in the future.
The Career Planning Office supports students with finding employment or advancing to higher-level schools after they graduate from the Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Course and the Division of Bioengineering and Bioinformatics. Each course and division has a teaching staff member who takes charge of career guidance, and job information they receive from corporate recruiters is collected at the job hunting office where it is provided to students.
