Oops, I did it again!
Toward Science of Consciousness conferences are peculiar. Almost everyone who debuts there is confused. Yes, the variety of topics and approaches is huge but this is why I like it... It makes you think twice, change your mind or strengthen your views. Most of AI (especially NLP) conferences, on the other hand, pass pure knowledge - this is doable, this is faster, this is fashionable, this is helpful. I know its very important but somehow Im always longing for more.
This year I talked about imprisoning AI in Matrix before being caught there by AI. Then I was suddenly attacked by Agent Smith who overtook the body of my French colleague ;)
Only few Machine Consciousness people attend TSC conferences, so we are easily remembered by the core members like David Chalmers. David, thank you for your time and valuable comments!
This time the venue was Helsinki University and I used this opportunity to meet professors who visited us in the past - Kristiina Jokinen and Graham Wilcock. Thank you for your kindness!
My discovery: squeeky cheese "Leipjuusto. Wonderful!
