The Laboratory of Wireless Technologies & EMS Research deals with a broad range of themes concerning wireless technologies. Wireless equipment, including cell mobile phones, wireless LAN and RFID, is used in various environments. In the future ubiquitous network society, more frequencies and radio waves will be used. We are struggling to develop new technology to enhance the communication quality and reliability of such a radio wave environment, and conducting research on technology to evaluate the safety and environmental adaptability of wireless equipment and highly efficient RF circuit technologies to help save energy. This laboratory is characterized by its ideal environment for producing antenna/wireless circuits experimentally, making measurements in anechoic chamber and free use of the state of the art electromagnetic fields simulators and super computer. This makes it possible for students to acquire a broad range of knowledge both about hardware and software. Graduates now work for national research institutes, as well as private firms such as communications companies, electric power companies and all-round manufacturers. The goal of this laboratory is to contribute to society through research and development of technologies to achieve a safe, advanced information communication society, and to foster professionals who can take leadership in society.
