2012年3月13-15日に首都大学東京で開催された精密工学会春季大会学術講演会に，DC1から2名，MC2から4名，MC1から2名の計8名が参加し，研究発表を行いました．また，金井教授がサイバーフィールド構築技術のセッションでレーザ計測技術のBIM管理応用に関する基調講演を行いました

6 master course students and two doctor course students gave presentations of their researches at 2012 JSPE spring meeting held at Tokyo Metropolitan University. Prof. Kanai gave an invited keynote speech about laser scanning technology and its application to BIM management in the organized session of Cyber Fields.

韓国海洋大学校からインターンシップ研究生のYeo Won-Dong君が研究室メンバーに加わりました．２か月の滞在予定です．
New foreign student from Korea Maritime University joined our lab.
2011年11月16,17日にSeoul National Universityで開催された第14回SNU-HU Joint Symposiumに，金井教授，伊達准教授，博士課程１年生の川島君と謝君，修士２年生の宇井君が参加し，研究発表を行いました．

３年生４名が研究室に配属になり，歓迎会を行いました．昨年度卒業・修了生からの記念品のワインで夜遅くまで盛り上がりました．
Four freshmen (third grade students) joined our laboratory and we held a welcome party for them. We talk over a bottle of wine until late at night.

2011年8月29日～31日に，カナダのカルガリーで開催されたISPRS Workshop Laser Scanning 2011にて，博士過程1年生川島君，修士１年生前野君と横山君が研究発表を行いました．前野君と横山君は今回が初めての学会参加＆学会発表でした．（写真はポスター発表をする前野君）

2011年8月27日～29日に，上海で開催された2011 Asian Conference on Design and Digital Engineeringにて，金井教授とM2清水康友君が研究発表を行いました．金井教授はディジタルプロトタイピングのためのリアルタイムトラッキングシステム，清水君は筋モデルを導入したデジタルハンドの研究発表を行いました．

台北で開催されたCAD'11 conferenceにて，金井教授がデジタルハンドに関する基調講演をおこないました．また，伊達准教授が対象認識に関する研究の発表を行いました．
At CAD11 conference held at Taipei, Professor Kanai gave a keynote speech on "3D Human Hand Modeling and Its Application to Virtual Ergonomic Assessments". Associate professor Date made a research presentation about object recognition from laser scan data.
大学祭のイベントの一つである工学祭に，コース・専攻からの出し物"TechToysDome"がありました．その中で，本研究室では，顔計測＆顔ストラップ作成を実施しました．
In Hokkaido University Festival 2011, our lab performed face scan and making accessories with scanned face as one of the events in "TechToysDome presented by System Info."
理学部ローンで研究室ジンパを開催しました．夜遅くまで楽しい時間を満喫しました．
Lab's Jinpa (Jingisukan Party, Traditional Hokkaido's BBQ party with lamb meat) was held. Members enjoyed the party until very late at night.
新修士１年生３名（東君，前野君，横山君）が配属となりました．また，博士課程１年生が２名（川島君，謝君）になりました．
